Roxanne Messina Captor referred to THE SALON as “A combination of pathos and comedy”. She described her goals of the film – “To be one that people can see a little bit of themselves in one or more of the characters. We have a cross-section of people with our diverse cast. I intentionally spent a lot of time thinking about how I wanted THE SALON to be a microcosm of society. I wanted to weave tough issues – big topics – into the on – set discussions of these amazing and talented actors. Of course, a healthy dose of comedy runs throughout the series. I know that viewers will identify with one or more of the characters and probably have a favorite.”
The cast and crew worked diligently to complete the entire production, including post, by mid-March. Their efforts to have a big premiere were halted due to the Covid-19 situation, however, it is noteworthy that The Salon is one of the first digital series to be completed during the pandemic.
The Salon -as a digital series, can be seen for a limited sneak peek from May 13 -24, 2020 via the Messina Captor Films YouTube page. Also, you will find cast interviews and much more on Youtube. Furthermore, The Salon’s website and IMDB have additional information.
