The “Ancira Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram 2020 Live Music Series at The County Line” that benefits the San Antonio Food Bank is back for its 20th year on Thursday nights, beginning March 5. This very popular live music series will run March 5 through July 31.
As in past years, the concerts occur on the patio of The County Line Bar-B-Q restaurant at 4334 Hyatt Place Drive (on IH-10 West between the Wurzbach and Huebner Road exits, near the Colonnade). Concerts begin at 7:30 and run until 9 p.m.
As always, this live music series does not charge an admission fee. However, all who attend are asked to make a food or monetary donation to the San Antonio Food Bank. In 2015, the County Line was recognized by the S.A. Food Bank for raising enough food to feed over 1 million people since the inception of the music series in 2001. In 2017 alone, it brought in a record-breaking number of donations which equaled 80,609 lbs. of food to feed the hungry. In 2019 donations made at the music series provided 35,000 meals.
“We are so excited to again be part of the County Line Music Series. Donations of food or funds at the gate from patrons enable us to meet the growing need of kids and seniors in San Antonio facing hunger,” says Eric S. Cooper, President & CEO, San Antonio Food Bank. “Together we have provided more than 1 million meals since the start of this series, and we hope this year we break records for BBQ sold and donations made to support this great mission.”
Free parking is available at Hallmark College, less than one block away on IH-10 access road. Concerts are held rain or shine. County Line’s great array of food can be ordered in the restaurant and taken outside. Happy hour will run inside and outside of the restaurant, from 3 to 7 p.m. on concert days.

“Besides feeding millions of people, with the promise to do more going forward, County Line has a deep history of community philanthropy,” says Mike Crenwelge, General Manager of the IH-10 County Line location since 1980. “Even before we started this incredible donation campaign with the San Antonio Food Bank, we have been active donors to the Food Bank’s Second Servings program from the 1980s to now. When we started the music series, we made a commitment to hold a free, family event that would benefit the Food Bank. Although the music series has evolved in many ways since we started it 20 years ago, we have always stayed true to our mission, and intend to keep it that way.”
This music series has featured some of the very best Texas and national country musicians in the past including Cory Morrow, Randy Rogers, Jason Boland, Roger Creager, Wade Bowen, Pat Green, Aaron Watson, Radney Foster, Kevin Fowler, Bleu Edmondson and many more.
