Television personality Santana Rodriguez, host of the popular TV show SHAPING UP WITH SANTANA, has signed a partnership with Texas media giant, Media Kiings, Inc., to air her successful series. The show is scheduled to premiere on March 15, 2020. The deal will considerably expand the program’s market, Santana points out, as viewers will be able to access the series through the streaming service ROKU by plugging TV Show name into ROKU search engine.
Santana is currently on the cover of the February 2020 Oscar issue of “Magic Image Hollywood Magazine” as one of the five most successful women of Hollywood.
Santana, a multi-talented actress, television host, and model, lives in Los Angeles. She originally comes from Buffalo, NY and is of Puerto-Rican and Brazilian descent. She created and produced SHAPING UP WITH SANTANA two years ago. The show ran on Florida’s Beach Channel for two years, including previous airings on the Fox Network in Puerto Rico and throughout the Caribbean.
Under a proposed agreement with Media Kiings Inc., 10 episodes of SHAPING UP WITH SANTANA would stream 24/7 for a minimum of six months through ROKU.
As the host of SHAPING UP WITH SANTANA, Santana offers weekly exercises and fitness tips that viewers can do in real time. The television show website extolled the show as “a fun, simplistic, non-technical show that virtually anybody can take part in to shake off those extra pounds and burn fat.”
Since arriving in Los Angeles, Santana has also landed a number of notable assignments as an actress, model, and host. In 2018 she anchored the Caribbean Tourism Conference’s annual event at the Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas. On September 2019 Santana graced the cover of the Los Angeles-based publication “Magic Image Hollywood Magazine” on its special edition Emmy Issue, accompanied by a four-page featured editorial interview with her. Santana has appeared in more than 25 publications, including seven covers, in the course of her career.
While expanding her viewership for SHAPING UP WITH SANTANA, Santana is concentrating on pursuing other opportunities as well in the entertainment industry, such as hosting or becoming a panelist on a fashion, relationship, or entertainment-type gossip talk show. “It’s something I have always wanted to do,” she says, “I have the gift of gab, and I’m very opinionated in these areas.”
Santana cites such superstars as Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lopez, and Selena Gomez as her role models because of their entrepreneurship and the fact that they have all produced their own shows.
Her greatest hope, she says, is to “better other lives while improving my own.”
To that end, Santana serves as a mentor to young girls through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization in Los Angeles. She guides her assigned mentee toward having “an ambition and goal in life,” she says, “to uplift and make young girls feel confident and strong to become empowered woman in the future.”
“I’m all about female empowerment,” she declares.
