Vision Films Inc. (“Vision”) announces the US and Canadian release of 10 Things We Should Do Before We Break Up on all major VOD platforms and for a limited theatrical run nationwide on Feb. 21, 2020; DVD release to follow on March 24, 2020. The film, written and directed by Galt Niederhoffer, presents a contemporary take on the age-old adage, “first comes love, then comes marriage.” Niederhoffer is the author of four novels, including “The Romantics” and “Poison,” and producer of 12 Sundance Film Festival selections and award-winners.
Sparks fly when Abigail (Christina Ricci), a self-sufficient single mom, meets Benjamin (Hamish Linklater), a magnetic perennial bachelor. They bond over their shared cynicism about love, convinced that the most dazzling relationships are destined to end in disaster. On their first date, they collaborate–in jest–on the ultimate un-bucket list: ten things to do together before they break up. But when fate intervenes, this pair of cynics must embark on the most challenging journey of all, building a family together, and the chance to trade their cynicism for hope.
Lise Romanoff, CEO and Managing Director of Vision Films says, “This is an emotionally charged movie that provides an interesting counterpoint to today’s standard Rom-Com fair. It is a contemporary look at relationships, love, and self-sufficiency in today’s aging millennial and ‘boomer’ culture.”
The film also features Lindsey Broad (21 Jump Street), John Abrahams (Scary Movie), Katina Winter (Agent Hamilton), Scott Adsit (30 Rock), and introduces real-life sister and brother, Mia and Brady Jenness.
10 Things We Should Do Before We Break Up will debut in theaters across the U.S. including in Los Angeles, Boston, Tampa, Dallas, Orlando, Cleveland, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and Detroit. And available on VOD on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Vudu, Vimeo, FandangoNow, and all major cable outlets. DVD will be available online at all major retailers.
