Tom Ellis joins celebrity vocal coach Valerie Morehouse in season premiere of digital web series
Tom Ellis, star of Netflix’s Lucifer, joins celebrity vocal coach Valerie Morehouse on the season premiere of Ildefonso Presents’ new digital series LipRoll. LipRoll brings viewers inside the vocal sessions of their favorite actors, musicians, and artists to understand how they developed their own voices and the process it takes to maintain physical, spiritual, and mental health. LipRoll is a production of Ildefonso Presents, created by Spencer Alfonso (Producer, Artist).
Joining Valerie in her studio, Tom tells her he is in the process of wrapping up filming on the Lucifer finale, which he thinks is “The biggest episode we’ve ever done.” His voice is feeling rough at the end of the season.
In the premiere episode of the new season, Tom tells Valerie about how the role of Lucifer was shaped through his love of music and the time producers heard him outside a karaoke bar. “There was no reference to him [The devil] singing, but when I was researching the character of the devil, his love and appreciation of music was something that I tapped into.”
Viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look with Tom in the recording studio as they learn about how music influences his acting and the karaoke song that changed Lucifer when the episode releases on Dec. 13, 2019, at 12 p.m. on YouTube.
